162: Beyond the Mat w/Dave Schilling

Kenny joins forces with former WWE writer Dave Schilling to take Phil on a journey BEYOND THE MAT.With a culture based around violence, god-like personas, and bitter rivalries, it's easy to forget the real life people behind this larger than life form of entertainment. Through Barry W. Blaustein's critically acclaimed and intimate documentary about the lives of three wrestlers, at three wildly different points in their careers, we take an in-depth look at this wildly contradictory art form. We also pick Dave's mind about the odd job of writing for wrestling, the community surrounding the industry, and the famous attitude era this film is set in.
