129: Flawless w/ Matthew D'Ambrosio

This week we welcome writer Matthew D’Ambrosio (Umbrella Academy, Vampire Diaries) to the pod and honor the legacy of the late Joel Schumacher by talking about FLAWLESS, his queer dramady pairing an ex-cop (Robert De Niro) and drag queen (Phillip Seymour Hoffman) as neighbors who learn a little something from one another. We talk about where Bobby De Niro’s career was in 1999, Phillip Seymour Hoffman’s breakout year in 99 with this and Talented Mr. Ripley and discuss Joel Schumacher legacy as a controversial camp filmmaker.
