OFFICIAL: Phoenix Suns Usher In NEW ERA by Trading Allen & O’Neale For Miles Bridges

More than two weeks after initial reports of the trade surfaced, the Phoenix Suns officially welcomed Miles Bridges to the fold Monday, with Grayson Allen and Royce O’Neale officially becoming members of the Charlotte Hornets. It’s a new era for both Bridges and the Suns, who are looking to build upon a surprising 45-win season and playoff berth in a year where they were written off by many experts.

As PHNX Suns takes a new look at the new era, the crew first takes time to acknowledge the contributions of Allen and O’Neale, both of whom had major roles in the franchise’s impressive run in 2025-26. After looking back, they look forward by welcoming in Richie Randall of the Buzz Beat Podcast, which covers the Hornets. Richie gives insight on Bridges’ on-court performance over the past few seasons and how he stands to fit in with the Suns.

Beyond Richie’s expertise, the show also shares the opinions of national media members who weighed in on the Bridges trade during NBA Summer League in Las Vegas. Follow the show: @PHNX_Suns, @ErikRuby, @GilMcGregor_, @StephenPG3 and @FreckledMamba! Follow Richie @richierandall!
