Should Harry Lose His Royal Role? Plus the Buckingham Palace Problem

Could Prince Harry eventually lose his position as a Counsellor of State? Royal commentators debate whether King Charles has quietly solved the problem—or simply postponed it for King William. We also examine the deeper constitutional question of who would actually govern if Prince George inherited the throne while still a minor, and whether Parliament should legislate now to avoid a future crisis. Then we turn to another royal mystery: why neither Queen Elizabeth II nor King Charles has truly wanted to live at Buckingham Palace, and whether transforming Britain’s most famous palace into little more than a ceremonial office changes the symbolism of the modern monarchy.
