Should Todd Monken change up his quarterback rotation? + Defense shines on first day in pads
Browns head coach Todd Monken has stuck to the script so far, alternating Deshaun Watson and Shedeur Sanders with the first team in the ongoing quarterback competition. It has made for some sloppy days, including Monday, the first padded practice of training camp. Mary Kay Cabot, Ashley Bastock and Dan Labbe recapped the day on Monday’s Orange and Brown Talk podcast, and they wondered if it might help the offense and the quarterbacks to get consecutive days working with the same group. They also discuss where they think the quarterback competition stands after five days and if anyone has separated. Then they look at the team’s two young receivers, KC Concepcion and Denzel Boston, who are both having outstanding camps, before they talk about what Monken had to say about the physicality in camp.
