“Stick ‘Em Up” by Quarashi (f/ Dave Losso)

If you’re traveling back in time to the early 2000s to compete in the X Games, can I suggest an Icelandic rap-rock group to serve as the soundtrack for your halfpipe drop in? Yes, I’m speaking of Quarashi, a band that was one part Beastie Boys, one part Rage Against The Machine, and all EA Sports video game menu music. This week’s guest, comedian Dave Losso, wanted to discuss their closest thing to a hit: the upbeat “Stick ‘Em Up,” a song that will probably make you say, “oh yeah…I THINK I know this!” Should Quarashi have had more hits? Did they even HAVE a hit? What exactly is going on here? Tune in to find out! One Hit Thunder is brought to you by DistroKid, the ultimate partner for taking your music to the next level.
