Trump, Starmer Discuss Gaza, Ukraine And U.S.-U.K. Tech Deal; Mayor Bowser, DC Leaders Testify on Crime Policies

U.S. President Donald Trump on Thursday said that resolving the war in Ukraine has been more complex than he had expected and that Russian President Vladimir Putin has let him down. British Prime Minister Keir Starmer said he and Trump "absolutely agree" on the need for an Israeli–Palestinian peace roadmap, but the U.S. president said he disagreed with countries recognizing a Palestinian state. District of Columbia Mayor Muriel Bowser and other city officials will testify before Congress on Thursday on the city's crime policies, their actions in enforcing them, and how Congress can help.
