Trump Promises No US Troops on the Ground in Ukraine; Hurricane Erin Forces Evacuations on East Coast

President Donald Trump has said that U.S. troops will not be sent to defend Ukraine's borders. "You have my assurance," he said during an interview with "Fox & Friends" on Tuesday. As Hurricane Erin neared North Carolina’s Outer Banks on Tuesday, threatening to whip up wild waves and extreme winds, evacuations were ordered on barrier islands along the Carolina coast. Authorities warned the storm could churn up dangerous currents and swamp roads with waves of up to 15 feet in height.
