Netanyahu Says Military Prepared If Iran Seeks to Disrupt Israeli Election
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu warned Iran and its allies on Sunday against attempting to disrupt Israel's election, saying the Israel Defense Forces were prepared both defensively and offensively and would respond with overwhelming force to any attack.
Netanyahu said Israel had intelligence indications that "Iran and its proxies" could seek to interfere with the vote through military action.
Israelis are preparing to vote in a national election on Tuesday amid continued regional tensions and concerns over possible attacks by Iran-aligned groups.
