JD Vance Holds First Presser Since Leavitt Stepped Down; Trump Vows to Hit Campaign Trail Hard

Vice President JD Vance holds a press briefing, the first since Karoline Leavitt stepped down as press secretary. Leavitt had her final day in the role last week and will continue to advise the president at MAGA Inc. super PAC.

President Donald Trump said on Wednesday he will campaign hard for Republican candidates ahead of November's midterm elections, saying he has planned extensive travel to states with high-stakes races. At a White House dinner for congressional Republicans, Trump touted his success campaigning for the party and promised a busy schedule of appearances in the final month.
