#11: The Lion King Music Retrospective

The Lion King celebrates its 25th anniversary this month. In honor of this occasion, and the forthcoming new iteration by Jon Favreau, this episode of Notably Disney highlights the music (songs by Elton John, lyrics by Tim Rice), including Hans Zimmer's Oscar-winning score. Joining me on this episode is Dr. Paul Cote, lecturer of English, at the University of Maryland. Paul also teaches classes on film, and his dissertation was called "Sonic Movie Memories: Sound, Childhood, and American Cinema."
