Episode 76: A CLASH OF KINGS, SANSA I: "Fool's Gold"

Hello and welcome back to the NotACast, the one true chapter-by-chapter (though not in this case) podcast going through A Song of Ice and Fire one chapter a week! In this episode, Arya Stark wanders the war-torn Riverlands with her new companions: kids who try to rob her, adults who threaten to kill her, and her guardian Yoren, who beats her. It’s...it’s just so much fun to make new friends. This week, we: - Consider Ned's executions from the POVs of Cersei, Barristan and Sansa - Examine Sansa Stark as a hostage and her place in the narrative of ACOK - Toss bountiful shade at Ser Arys "Simple Himmler" Oakheart - Talk about Sansa-Smart and how she survives despite being surrounded by enemies. - Examine and contrast/parallel Sansa and Arya Next week: There's a new sheriff ... hand in town, and he came to drink wine and jape with Cersei. And he's all out of wine. (He's actually not.) This episode will be available as a livestream on Monday at 8:30PM; so, tune in if you want to see us LIVE at the link to our youtube page below!
