Episode 152: A STORM OF SWORDS, JAIME I: "The Dark Knight Rises" ft. Shiloh Carroll

Hello and welcome back to the NotACast, the one true chapter-by-chapter podcast going through A Song of Ice and Fire one chapter a week! In this episode, returning guest Shiloh Carroll joins us to discuss Jaime Lannister, objectively the best character in ASOIAF (according to Jeff). This week, we: - Talk about what it's like to be reintroduced to Jaime - Praise George's mastery of atmosphere coming off the Prologue - Dig into the layers of Jaime and Brienne's relationship - Observe how "They Lay With Lions" challenges them in different ways - Analyze these characters from an Arthurian and medievalist perspective Next week: we return to Riverrun for Catelyn's first chapter!
