Outlier, a sports betting technology company growing its product and engineering teams in New Orleans, just closed a $10.7 million Series A round, including $5.7 million in equity led by Discerning Capital and $5 million earmarked for user acquisition. The funding will support new product launches, stronger real-time analytics and subscriber growth for its subscription-only sports betting research platform, which has tens of thousands of paying subscribers and 14,000+ five-star App Store reviews. Outlier also highlighted continued investment in New Orleans, with support from GNO, Inc. and LA.IO, as it plans to expand its local team and global footprint.
