Is America Great Yet? | NLP at Essence Fest 2025

A recording of NLP’s show at Essence fest in New Orleans! Hosts Tiffany Cross, Angela Rye, and Andrew Gillum team up with special guests to track Project 2025, take stock of the current state of America, and ask what it means to build a country that truly serves all of us.

Featuring special guests Rep. Jasmine Crockett, State Rep. and Vice Chair of the Democratic National Convention, Malcolm Kenyatta, President of the Power Coalition for Electoral Justice, Ashley Shelton, and more…

Democracy requires participation. Our guests hone in on how the Democratic party can change to encourage (rather than discourage) that participation.
