48: The Eerie Encounter in Exeter

Zoinks! Gather 'round, gang, for a spooky tale from the small, quiet town of Kensington, New Hampshire. It's the wee hours of September 3, 1965, and young Norman Muscarello is hitchhiking home to Exeter after a date. Suddenly, he spots something that makes his hair stand on end—flashing bright red lights in the sky, but these ain't no ordinary emergency lights. This mysterious object, silent and vast, hovers above, bathing everything in an eerie red glow. Imagine Norman's fright as he dashes to a nearby house, only to find the occupants too spooked to open the door!

The plot thickens when Norman races to the police, and Officers Toland and Bertrand join the scene, only to encounter the baffling sight themselves—a gigantic, dark object with red flashing lights, hovering silently in the night. Despite their bravery (and Officer Bertrand's ready revolver), the trio can't muster the courage to confront the silent visitor. As the mystery deepens, so does the intrigue. It's a classic Scooby-Doo setup, minus the meddling kids and their Great Dane, but with all the chills, thrills, and head-scratching mystery of a real-life UFO encounter. So, grab your Scooby Snacks, and let's dive into the Exeter Incident—where the truth is out there, and it's spookier than you think!
