Relatively Speaking: We're Chatting With Mike Vasil's Mom | 'Baseball Isn't Boring'

He might very well be the most entertaining player in Major League Baseball, and he is certainly one of our favorite guests. His name is Mike Vasil, Chicago White Sox pitcher who has managed to entertain and motivate an entire team and fan base despite being sldelined by injury throughout the 2026 season. Mike's presence and contributions were why his Mom, Kathy, threw out the first pitch at Rate Field over the weekend. It was a perfect time for Bradfo to catch up with Kathy Vasil to reflect on her son's journey, the origins of his unique presence and personality, and how she felt about being put in the limelight in Chicago. It's a perfect baseball (and life) conversation.
