Patience and Perseverance (audio)

James' theme is the return of Christ. He warned about indulging in money and pleasure in the first six verses. Next, he exhorted them to be persevering. This message launches from the text to consider what Jesus and His apostles said about perseverance. Then, it links God's preservation and the believers' perseverance. Finally, it concludes by comparing the saints' perseverance to the farmer's patience.
