S11 E27 - The Doctor, The Secret and The Man He Let Inside

A respected Detroit neurosurgeon. A private life. A trusted connection that turned deadly. In April 2023, Dr. Devon Hoover was found murdered inside his historic Boston-Edison home—shot and hidden within the very walls he built his life around. What began as a missing person case quickly unraveled into a complex investigation involving digital evidence, financial activity, and a relationship that raised more questions than answers. In this episode of Malice in the Mitten, we take a deep, respectful dive into the life of Dr. Hoover, the timeline of his disappearance, and the investigation that led to Desmond Burks—a man he knew. This is not a story of randomness. This is a story about access, trust, and the devastating consequences when both are exploited. #TrueCrimePodcast #MaliceInTheMitten #DevonHoover #DetroitCrime #TrueCrimeCommunity Produced and Hosted by Tracy Preston, Featuring Christine Mulligan.
