UK Heiress and Convict Partner Carried Dead Newborn Around in Bag | Constance Marten and Mark Gordon

They came from two very different worlds—she, a daughter of aristocracy tied to royals and lavish estates, and he, a man with a dark past. Yet when Constance Martin and Mark Gordon disappeared with their newborn in the winter of 2023, they sparked one of the most desperate manhunts the UK had seen in years.

Found living in tents, moving under fake names, and evading police across freezing countryside, the couple left a trail of questions—and when the baby wasn’t with them, those questions turned into horror. What drove an heiress to cut ties with her family and go on the run with a man like Gordon? And what really happened to baby Victoria?

Today we talk about a story of wealth, secrecy, flight, and tragedy that stunned the UK and continues to unfold in court.

Poll Question:
Do you think this happened due to mental health issues with Constance or plain ole negligence?
