Coral Springs Vice Mayor Nancy Metayer Bowen was supposed to attend several meetings on the morning of April 1, 2026.

She never showed up.

Police went to her home, but no one answered the door. Family members were growing increasingly desperate, even begging officers to force their way inside.

But police said they didn’t yet have the legal authority to enter.

Then Nancy’s husband’s uncle called 911.

And what he told the dispatcher changed everything.
