Florida Man Friday - Father Tried to Date Daughter, Goes on Shooting Spree - Michael Monroe Banks

In this Florida Man Friday episode or Love and Murder, I, Ky, delve into the shocking events that unfolded on a quiet street in Tampa. It's January 17, 2024, and the still of the night is shattered by gunshots, leading to a standoff that exposes a family's dark secrets.

As police arrive at the scene, they're confronted by a gunman who forces them into a deadly exchange. The assailant, 42-year-old Michael Monroe Banks, surrenders but leaves behind a trail of bloodshed, including two injured women and a life taken too soon—52-year-old Josephine Wentz.

The horror deepens as we learn the motive behind the violence.

Join me as we unpack the details of this case, from the mother and daughter's brave escape to the disturbing revelations of Banks's intentions.

For this episode's poll, I ask: Were you shocked to learn of Michael's intentions toward his daughter?
