Florida Man Friday | 13-Year-Old Honor Student Murders Mother Then Sends Bloody Pics to Friend | Derek Rosa

In this Florida Man true crime story, I tell you the case of 13-year-old Derek Rosa, who brutally murdered his mother, Irina Garcia, on October 12, 2023, in Hialeah, Florida. The young boy's actions have left everyone questioning whether it was a cold-blooded act of malice or a tragic consequence of mental health issues.

The case took a turn when Derek, initially charged with second-degree murder, had his charges upgraded to first-degree murder and was moved from a juvenile facility to the Metro West Jail, making him the youngest inmate there.

As the trial approaches, disturbing evidence, including images and videos from the crime scene, has surfaced, painting a picture of the events leading up to and following the murder. Derek's family, particularly his father, pleads for leniency, suggesting the possibility of a mental health crisis.

Join us as we explore the complexities of this case, from the initial crime to the ongoing legal battles.

Poll Question:
