From the opening betrayals at Isstvan to the poisoned corridors of the Terminus Est and the blood-soaked walls of the Imperial Palace, this episode follows Mortarion through the Horus Heresy and his tragic fall into damnation. We explore his loyalty to Horus, the corruption of the Death Guard, his confrontation with Jaghatai Khan, the bargain that bound him to Nurgle, and his transformation into the Daemon Primarch of the XIV Legion. Once a warrior who sought to destroy tyrants and eradicate sorcery, Mortarion's greatest battle became the one he could never win, against the darkness within himself.
