WOW-Rich Rodriguez says WVU found a SPECIAL player in Cam Torbor!

Rich Rodriguez delivered a wide-ranging WVU football update as the Mountaineers move closer to their season opener against Coastal Carolina. Rich discussed the ongoing kicking competition, WVU’s detailed special-teams evaluations and the upcoming depth-chart decisions. He also explained how the coaching staff is developing toughness, installing situational football and preparing for the uncertainty surrounding Coastal Carolina’s new staff and rebuilt roster. We’ll break down the quarterback room as Michael Hawkins Jr., Scotty Fox, Jiren Hughley and the other contenders continue learning the offense’s automatic adjustments. Rich also provided updates on athletic developmental prospects Jonas Beal and Emerson Joy, plus the competition at outside receiver involving Jaden Bray, Prince Strachan, John Neider, Taron Francis and Keon Hutchins. Of course, the biggest praise was reserved for true freshman linebacker Cam Torbor. Rich called him a “great find,” confirmed that he will play immediately on defense and special teams, and revealed that Torbor may be both one of WVU’s biggest and fastest linebackers. “We’ll take a bunch of Cam Torbors!”
