In this episode of Locked On West Virginia, I sit down with a Troy baseball insider to debate one of the biggest narratives surrounding WVU's historic run: Did the Mountaineers have a "soft" path to Omaha? We break down WVU's resume, strength of schedule, road wins, Big 12 competition, postseason opponents, and whether the criticism is fair or completely overblown. We also dive into the upcoming matchup between West Virginia and Troy, what each team does well, where each side has advantages, and why this College World Series opener could be one of the most fascinating games in Omaha. Is WVU being disrespected? Or are the doubters seeing something Mountaineer fans don't? Let's debate it. #WVU #WestVirginia #Mountaineers #WVUBaseball #CollegeWorldSeries #MCWS #Omaha #SteveSabins #CollegeBaseball #Big12 #TroyBaseball #LockedOnWVU #HailWV #MountaineerNation #RoadToOmaha
