NOT HAPPY! Pat McAfee UNDER FIRE from ESPN Producers who "dont like" Change.

#LockedOnWV #WVUMountaineers #PatMcAfee Hey Mountaineer Nation! On today's Locked On West Virginia, your host Mountaineer Paul breaks down the explosive Pat McAfee-ESPN saga that's got the sports world buzzing. From McAfee's viral rant calling out "old white people and old ESPN folks" behind College GameDay to the behind-the-scenes friction with producers who see him as an "entitled diva," we unpack how this diva's antics are shaking up the pregame powerhouse. Despite the backlash, McAfee's backed by bigwigs like Burke Magnus, Jimmy Pitaro, and even Bob Iger – making him bulletproof as GameDay smashes records (up 28% in viewership through Week 8 of 2025!). As a WVU fan, I can't ignore how McAfee's swagger has supercharged college football coverage, pulling in younger viewers and rivaling Fox's Big Noon Kickoff. But is his public whining good for the game, or just bad for business? We tie it back to the Mountaineers' own high-stakes world – think Neal Brown's portal moves mirroring ESPN's talent wars. Plus, quick hits on WVU's latest recruiting buzz and why McAfee's loyalty to his crew (like footing the bill for GameDay perks) reminds me of our Eers' unbreakable spirit. Tune in for the raw takes, laughs, and why McAfee might just be the Stone Cold Steve Austin of sports media. Let's ride those country roads to truth – Go Eers!#LockedOnWV #WVUMountaineers #PatMcAfee #CollegeGameDay #ESPNDrama #MountaineerNation #Big12Football #WVUFootball #CollegeFootball #LetGoMountaineers #wvu #westvirginia #mountaineers #collegesports Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company.
