Clark Lea Makes It Clear: Vanderbilt's QB Competition Is STILL OPEN

Vanderbilt's quarterback competition is STILL ON—and Clark Lea finally provided some much-needed clarity. Blaze Berlowitz has earned the opportunity to start against Austin Peay, but Clark Lea made it clear that he has not committed to a permanent starting quarterback for Delaware or beyond. That means Jared Curtis is still very much in this competition. The big question now becomes: When does Vanderbilt finally make the decision? Austin Peay may not provide the definitive test. But Delaware is a conference champion and should provide a much stronger evaluation opportunity. By the time Vanderbilt reaches NC State in Week 3, the Commodore coaching staff could finally know who its quarterback is. We break down Clark Lea's latest comments, why transparency matters, why Blaze Berlowitz currently has the edge, Jared Curtis' remaining path to QB1, and why this quarterback competition could ultimately benefit Vanderbilt.
