BREAKING: QB Walter Taylor Returns to Vandy...to play TE | Is he Eli Stowers 2.0?

Vanderbilt Commodores shake up the depth chart as Walter Taylor returns from Ball State—not as a quarterback, but as a potential breakout tight end. Can Taylor replicate Eli Stowers’ meteoric rise, or will his unique athleticism carve out a new offensive identity for Vandy? Corey Burton explores how Taylor’s position switch, the revamped tight end room, and Tim Beck’s creative offensive packages could redefine the Commodores’ attack. Key insights include the impact of fresh portal additions, strategic tight end competition with Javonte Connor and Bryson Coleman, and how Taylor’s development may ease pressure on Vandy’s incoming quarterbacks. Plus, Corey Burton examines Eli Stowers’ NFL Draft stock, drawing parallels to Evan Engram and Kyle Pitts, and projects how roster depth could give the Commodores an edge in SEC play. Is this the year Vandy’s offense finally hits its stride? #anchordown
