Detroit Tigers fans debate Riley Greene’s ceiling after another All-Star campaign—can he reach true superstar status, or is his value already being maximized? Greene’s adjustments between 2025 and 2026 took center stage, from improving his plate discipline and on-base percentage to conquering left-handed pitching. The conversation focused on his dramatic drop in slugging for better consistency, his progress in reducing streakiness, and lingering questions about his clutch performance with runners in scoring position.

A key theme that emerged was Greene’s defensive decline, including concerns about his diminishing speed and future fit in the Tigers’ outfield—or even at first base or DH. The discussion explored Detroit’s dilemma: extend Greene now or risk a skyrocketing price later. Several points were raised, including speculation around contract terms and Detroit’s shifting roster needs. Insights on pitching prospect Jake Miller’s injury-plagued status and future also round out this detailed analysis of the Tigers’ path forward.
