Detroit Tigers face pivotal decisions after Keider Montero’s breakout 2026 campaign. Can Montero’s unconventional, low-strikeout, fly-ball-heavy approach keep delivering results, or is regression inevitable? Scott Bentley spotlights Montero’s impressive 3.48 ERA, stellar command, and a reinvented pitch mix that stifled hitters all season—but raises questions about long-term sustainability in the starting rotation.

Brett Callahan’s future also hangs in the balance. Despite a hot start, the left-handed outfielder struggled at the plate and finds himself lost in a crowded Detroit outfield. Bentley breaks down Callahan’s aggressive swing, power potential, and roster dilemmas heading into 2027. With tough choices looming, how will the Tigers manage pitching depth and outfield logjams before Opening Day?
