DECISION: Who will WEAR the ‘A’ for the San Jose Sharks After Macklin Celebrini Receives Captaincy?

San Jose Sharks eye a new era as Macklin Celebrini emerges as the front-runner for captaincy. Will the 20-year-old phenom—already the franchise’s undisputed leader—thrive with the ‘C’ on his jersey, or is it too soon for him to shoulder the weight of the locker room? Celebrini’s leadership both on and off the ice, his insane work ethic, and lessons learned from stars like Sidney Crosby and Steph Curry take center stage, as the Sharks make one of the “easiest choices” in franchise history. JD Young examines who could wear the alternate ‘A’s this season, spotlighting Tyler Toffoli’s mentorship, Darnell Nurse’s blue-line presence, and Alexander Wennberg’s steady impact. Dark horse candidates like Collin Graf and Ty Dellandrea add intrigue to the Sharks’ leadership group. With Logan Couture officially passing the torch and a revitalized roster in contention, can this Sharks squad rally around its young core and restore hope in San Jose?
