The case for the Toronto Raptors overachieving in 2024-25

The Toronto Raptors are not projected to be very good in 2024-25, but what if they are? In Episode 1728, Sean Woodley goes solo to lay out the case for the Toronto Raptors being one of the teams -- of which there are always a couple -- that overachieves against their preseason expectations this coming season. Off the top, Sean lays out the case for the Raptors, and digs into why the capacity for internal growth on a team built mostly around 25-and-under dudes is the single biggest reason to feel optimistic that this team can be better than anticipated. We're great at talking about things that have happened, and less good at predicting impending leaps. Next, Sean digs into what the shape of an overachievement might look like for this team, why it'll have to involve a big jump on offense, why Scottie Barnes and Immanuel Quickley could improve to the point that they raise the team's floor, and why health luck will have to be involved.
