DRAFT GRADES: How does NFL Media feel about the Carolina Panthers 2026 NFL Draft Class?

Carolina Panthers silence critics as NFL media hands out glowing draft grades. Will Monroe Freeling and Lee Hunter anchor a new era in Charlotte?

Julian Council breaks down the Panthers’ 2026 NFL Draft haul, highlighting national praise from ESPN, NFL Network, Yahoo, and more. The episode explores expert takes on prospects such as Monroe Freeling, Sam Hecht, and Chris Brazell II, examining whether Carolina’s unflashy selections could build lasting strength on both lines. Why did Mel Kiper Jr. question positional priorities, and could late-round additions like Zakee Wheatley be opening-day starters?

With analysis of each media outlet’s ranking—ranging from B grades to A-minus and even Warren Sharp’s nod for “best value draft”—this discussion sets the stage for how Dan Morgan’s strategy could finally stabilize the Panthers’ roster. Can this “smart, not sexy” draft class deliver where others have failed?
