DECISION: Will the Panthers TRUST Lathan Ransom as a Starter or SIGN a Veteran to Strengthen the Defense?

Is it Lathan Ransom's time for the Carolina Panthers? With Nick Scott entering free agency and key contract decisions looming, Julian Council debates whether the promising Ohio State product is ready to step up as a starting safety alongside Tre'von Meohrig or if the Panthers should target a proven veteran on the open market.

Key topics include a breakdown of Tre'von Meohrig’s contract implications, Demani Richardson’s uncertain role, and potential safety signings like Jaquan Brisker, Kam Curl, and Kevin Byard. Julian Council also explores the value of bringing back Isaiah Simmons for special teams and defensive versatility. With the Panthers aiming to shore up their defense against a tougher 2026 schedule, find out which roster moves could shape Carolina’s secondary—and whether the safety position is set for a shakeup this offseason.
