ORIOLES POSTCAST: RAIN RUINS IT as Baltimore Orioles Get Shut Out Again In 8-0 Rain-Shortened Loss to Philadelphia Phillies

The rain came, the offense vanished, and the Orioles got blanked again. In a wild, frustrating, rain-soaked finale against the Phillies, Baltimore fell 8-0 in a game cut short after 6 innings as the deluge kept pouring and the bats stayed silent. Kyle Bradish was tagged by a two-run homer from Bryan De La Cruz in the third, Anthony Nunez ran into trouble after the long rain delay, and Josh Walker plus Albert Suarez got hit in the fifth and sixth as Philadelphia scored in four straight innings to put this one away. The Orioles had almost nothing going offensively, with their only real chance coming in a two-on, one-out spot in the third against Kyle Backhus. Back-to-back shutouts. A brutal finish. A game that never felt close once the rain and the Phillies took control. Luke Slabaugh hosts the Orioles Postcast. If you ride with the Orioles, this one stings. But we’re breaking it all down anyway — what happened, what it means, and what needs to change.
