Sumrall Calls Chambliss The Best He's Ever Seen | Golding Admits A Mistake | Ole Miss vs Florida

Every take on Ole Miss and Florida this week is about the spread. That's the wrong line. Jon Sumrall spent Monday telling reporters he did not know his team was favored, then called Trinidad Chambliss the best college football player he has seen with his own two eyes — and Lane Kiffin said a version of the same thing six days earlier from a podium in Baton Rouge. Two opposing head coaches in two weeks, neither with a reason to hype anybody, and the No. 4 team in the country is still getting points in Gainesville. Four days to Florida in the Swamp. First true road game of the year. Steven Willis puts two Monday press conferences side by side — Pete Golding in Oxford, Jon Sumrall in Gainesville — and comes out with an injury board, a head coach volunteering that he got a personnel call wrong four days after the biggest regular-season win of his tenure, and the most credible endorsement Chambliss has been given all season, from the man whose job this week is to beat him.
