PRIORITY: Detroit Lions NEED Tate Ratledge at Guard – Experts DEBATE Center Spot After Mays SETBACK.

Detroit Lions’ offensive line faces a critical crossroads as Cade Mays’ injury shakes up training camp. Will Tate Ratledge be forced to shift to center, or should Detroit preserve his impact at right guard? Matt Dery raises the alarm on too much O-line reshuffling and argues for consistency as the Lions prepare for the season’s opening stretch. He outlines key depth options—including Juice Scruggs and Seth McLaughlin—and calls on head coach Dan Campbell to avoid last year’s costly mistakes. Injury updates take center stage, with Jameson Williams and Nick Whiteside sidelined but not seriously hurt, according to Campbell. Meanwhile, former Lion Marcus Davenport signs with the Chicago Bears, and controversial ex-Lion Terrion Arnold lands with the Seahawks despite ongoing legal trouble. Matt defends Campbell’s transparency in addressing Arnold’s situation and previews pivotal roster battles, setting the stage for Detroit’s upcoming preseason matchups.
