Tim Murray Breaks Down Where Notre Dame Stands Among College Football’s Title Contenders

Locked On Irish host Tyler Wojciak is joined by VSiN’s Tim Murray to take a big-picture look at Notre Dame through its 5-0 start and determine how close the Irish are to being a legitimate national championship team. Tyler and Tim begin by comparing Notre Dame’s performance through five games to the massive preseason expectations, identifying the biggest surprises and concerns before diving into CJ Carr’s emergence and where he ranks among the best quarterbacks in college football. Then, they zoom out to evaluate the national championship picture, identify the teams capable of winning it all and compare Notre Dame to the other top contenders before discussing what could carry the Irish to a title, what could ultimately hold them back and what they need to show before the schedule gets tougher against BYU and Miami.
