SUNDAY NIGHT LIVE: Notre Dame-Rice Takeaways, Running Game Concerns & Week 2 CFB Reaction

Tyler Wojciak hosts the first Sunday Night Live of the 2026 season to take a deeper look at Notre Dame’s 52-0 shutout of Rice and what the dominant performance says about the Irish through two games. First, Tyler breaks down the big-picture takeaways from a complete performance by CJ Carr, the Notre Dame offense and another dominant showing from the Irish defense. Then, he examines the biggest concern coming out of the win: a running game that produced just 118 yards against Rice, what Notre Dame needs from Aneyas Williams and Nolan James Jr., and why the strong second half against Wisconsin still provides reason for optimism. Finally, Tyler reacts to a wild weekend across college football, including Texas’ comeback win over Ohio State, Oregon’s stunning loss to Oklahoma State and where Notre Dame fits into the early national championship picture.
