IRISH SQUAD SHOW: Syracuse Preview & Notre Dame’s Push for a Home Playoff Game

Notre Dame celebrates Senior Day while preparing for a Syracuse team dealing with one of the wildest quarterback situations in college football. On this week’s Irish Squad Show, host Allison Hayes is joined by Notre Dame legend Allen Pinkett, along with Locked On Irish host Tyler Wojciak, to reflect on Senior Day memories and discuss Steve Angeli’s season-ending injury after his full-circle moment was taken away. The crew breaks down how Notre Dame’s defense should attack a Syracuse offense that has used three quarterbacks and may turn to a fourth, plus what changes they’d like to see from the defense as the Irish aim for another defensive score. They also dive into Jaden Greathouse’s status, whether his redshirt should be preserved, and which offensive backups deserve significant reps this weekend. Finally, they look at the national slate, CFP implications, what Notre Dame needs to move up from No. 9, and how results like USC–Oregon or Miami’s finish could shape the Irish playoff path.
