IRISH SQUAD SHOW: Notre Dame Climbs to No. 9 in CFP & Prepares for Top-25 Clash vs Pitt

Notre Dame moves up to No. 9 in the latest College Football Playoff rankings, but the CFP landscape just shifted with Baylor AD Mack Rhoades stepping down as committee chair. On this week’s Irish Squad Show, host Allison Hayes is joined by Notre Dame legends Reggie Brooks and Allen Pinkett, along with Locked On Irish host Tyler Wojciak, to break down what this means for the playoff picture — and whether the Irish should have representation on the committee. The crew also debates where Notre Dame should stand compared to Texas, Vanderbilt, and Miami, discusses independence vs conference life in today’s college football, and weighs in on private investment in athletics. Then, they preview the Irish’s Top-25 showdown with Pitt, including how the Panthers’ elite run defense stacks up against Jeremiyah Love and Jadarian Price, whether Love deserves Heisman buzz, and what to expect from Pitt’s new quarterback. Finally, Reggie and Allen relive their favorite moments from their battles with the Panthers as Notre Dame looks to stay hot heading into November.
