Breaking Down Notre Dame vs. BYU With Brian Smith | Crossover With Locked On The Portal

Brian Smith of The Portal welcomes Locked On Irish host Tyler Wojciak for an in-depth crossover preview of the top-10 showdown between Notre Dame and BYU in Provo. The conversation begins with the significance of this matchup and why it represents a tremendous opportunity for Marcus Freeman and the Fighting Irish to make a statement on the national stage. Next, Brian and Tyler examine how Notre Dame's defense can contain BYU's rushing attack without star running back LJ Martin, compare the head-to-head statistics on both sides of the ball, and explain why third-down efficiency could determine the outcome. In the second segment, they make statistical predictions for the matchup, including BYU's rushing yards, passing yards, and third-down conversion percentage. Finally, they discuss the national conversation surrounding Notre Dame vs. BYU, the importance of winning the turnover battle, and what it will take for the Irish to leave Provo with a victory.
