Florida Gators OUT for Jalen Brewster? Down to Texas Tech and LSU Most Likely?

Florida Gators miss out on top-ranked defensive tackle Jalen Brewster as the recruiting battle heats up. Will Jon Sumrall’s squad bounce back from this setback and secure critical defensive commitments before the season kicks off? Brandon Olsen breaks down why Brewster’s decision came down to LSU and Texas Tech, the financial realities impacting Florida’s recruiting—despite their aggressive new defensive scheme—and offers honest insight into why the Gators fell short. Key discussion points include upcoming decisions from Raheem Floyd and Kamauri "Bam" Whitfield, each poised to shape Florida’s secondary. With Nebraska making a late push for Whitfield and Missouri challenging for Floyd, Brandon Olsen examines the athletic traits, positional fits, and the Gators’ chances to land these high-upside prospects. Can Sumrall and his staff deliver on their recruiting ambitions, or will SEC rivals win the day?
