The Kansas State Wildcats vs. BYU Cougars: A Defensive Conundrum to be Solved

Can the Kansas State Wildcats' impressive running game and innovative 3-3-5 defense propel them to new heights this season as they open Big 12 play against the BYU Cougars in Provo late Saturday night? With standout performances from dual-threat quarterback Avery Johnson and running backs DJ Giddens and Dylan Edwards, the Wildcats are making waves in college football as they come to face Kalani Sitake and the rest of the BYU football program Saturday night inside LaVell Edwards Stadium on the campus of Brigham Young University (BYU). This episode explores Kansas State's season trajectory, analyzing their dominant victory against Arizona and the potential of their generational talent, Avery Johnson. Discover how K-State coach Chris Klieman's strategic shift to a 3-3-5 defense is disrupting opponents and why the Wildcats' running game, averaging 7.0 yards per carry, is a force to be reckoned with for Jay Hill and BYU. The discussion also touches on the BYU Cougars' defensive improvements and their growing confidence, drawing parallels to West Virginia's rise last year.
