BYU Football's 2024 Big 12 Conference Debut: Are They Ready for the Challenge?

Can the BYU Cougars turn their fortunes around in the Big 12 this fall? With a challenging conference play ahead, the Cougars are banking on key players like Caleb Etienne, LJ Martin, and Keanu Hill to step up offensively alongside quarterback Jake Retzlaff. Defensive standouts Tyler Batty, Jakob Robinson, and Harrison Taggart are also crucial for improving last season's 2-7 Big 12 Conference record for Brigham Young University (BYU). This episode explores Jack Kelly's promising NFL draft prospects, as he's ranked the #5 outside linebacker by NFL Draft guru Mel Kiper in the 2025 cycle. The discussion also touches on Gerry Bohannon's possible shift to a "gadget player" role, reminiscent of Taysom Hill with the New Orleans Saints. With ongoing injury concerns in the running back lineup, the timing of LJ Martin's return remains uncertain, but imperative for Big 12 success.
