BYU Football & Kalani Sitake Are Perfect Match As They Build Big 12 Contender

The BYU Cougars are set to open training camp in two weeks' time and Jake Hatch says that BYU football coach Kalani Sitake's position at Brigham Young University (BYU) is rather secure despite CBS Sports' writer Dennis Dodd placing him on the hot seat as Jake explains that Tom Holmoe and university leadership in Provo aren't going to have a knee-jerk reaction on Sitake's future. Jake then talked about the faces of a hypothetical BYU Mount Rushmore as he picked BYU football legends LaVell Edwards and Jim McMahon along with BYU basketball legend Jimmer Fredette and longtime BYU women's volleyball and administrator Elaine Michaelis to be the faces of BYU athletics while welcoming listener feedback on the matter. Finally, the show wrapped up with our weekly Locked On Cougars insiders group mailbag as Jake addressed questions on BYU recruiting strategy, the quarterback battle between Jake Retzlaff and Gerry Bohanon, what a better performance for BYU's offensive line could spell this season and who a Big 12 Conference darkhorse this fall could be in his mind.
