Chiefs MAKE Risky Bet on John Michael Gyllenborg Over Drafting a Tight End

Kansas City Chiefs shake up the tight end room, investing $260,000 guaranteed in undrafted free agent John Michael Gyllenborg. With Travis Kelce still leading the way but key depth like Noah Gray, Wiley, and Briningstool facing questions, the Chiefs are betting on upside and athleticism for the future. Can Gyllenborg’s raw talent and top-tier short-area quickness translate to the NFL, or will concentration drops and undeveloped route-running keep him off the 53-man roster? Chris Clark and Ryan Tracy debate the battle for backup tight end spots, the impact of injuries on Wiley, and whether Tom Melvin’s coaching can finally develop a new weapon behind Kelce. They break down Chiefs’ strategy to support Patrick Mahomes with multi-tight end sets and analyze the odds of a UDFA breaking through. Plus, what does Kelce’s mentorship mean for the next generation—and is he preparing for his last Super Bowl run? Join our Everydayer Club at lockedonchiefs.supercast.com!
