BONUS Mailbag: Time For Boston Celtics To Move On From Derrick White?

Can the Boston Celtics find the physical edge they need to return to NBA Finals contention? John Karalis of Celtics On SI tackles hot mailbag questions, including a bold hypothetical swap of Derrick White for Josh Hart and the lingering impact of losing Jrue Holiday’s veteran leadership. The debate heats up on whether the Celtics are missing a true instigator—a Marcus Smart or Bobby Portis type—capable of igniting playoff toughness and rallying Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown in crunch time. John Karalis is joined by Tom Westerholm to assemble Boston’s all nice guy/professional team, spotlighting Al Horford, Kemba Walker, Marcus Smart, and Derrick White, while sharing insider stories about locker room personalities and unsung heroes like Semi Ojeleye and Romeo Langford. Plus, in a lighter twist, they share their favorite color combinations and reminisce about the best and worst Celtics jersey designs, keeping the banter fresh for die-hard Boston fans.
