CANES POSTCAST: CANES SEND MESSAGE! No. 1 Miami Rolls 52-23 as Malachi Toney Rewrites Record Book

The No. 1 Miami Hurricanes looked every bit like the best team in the country, overwhelming the Pittsburgh Panthers 52-16 at Hard Rock Stadium behind a historic masterpiece from Malachi Toney. Toney broke Miami’s single-game receptions record with 16 catches for 194 yards and three touchdowns. After producing 154 yards and two scores against Florida State, Toney became the first player in Miami history to record at least 150 receiving yards and two touchdowns in consecutive games. He now has 66 receptions for 952 yards and 11 touchdowns through seven games this season. Bleacher Report Darian Mensah was sensational despite facing consistent pressure from Pitt’s defensive front. Mensah completed 31 of 37 passes for 387 yards, four touchdowns and no interceptions, repeatedly demonstrating the pocket presence, accuracy and composure that have made him one of the nation’s premier quarterbacks.
